Preconception Care
Women should take 0.4 mg of folic acid daily while trying to conceive and during the first trimester of pregnancy. Women with epilepsy or who have had an infant with a neural tube defect should increase this dose to 4 mg daily.
Tracking Your Periods
It is important for us to have a detailed record of your last 3-6 periods prior to your first visit. We need to know:
- The date each period started
- How many days there were between the first days of each period
