Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy is the least invasive surgical tool we can use for examining the fallopian tubes, uterus and ovaries. It is a procedure completed in hospital under general anaesthesia. A small incision is made just under the navel and a thin fibre-optic viewing tube (endoscope) is inserted into the abdominal cavity so we can get a better look at the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. Advanced operative techniques allow for the repair of some defects at the same time as the examination.

"Dr. Roth takes such care in explaining treatment and demonstrated genuine concern for my past experience with surgery. I fully realize how busy his schedule must be and it is refreshing to find a doctor who has not lost the ability to connect with his patients."
