Helpful Tips:

Men may want to consider wearing loose underwear (tight underwear raises the temperature around the testicles), and avoid extremely hot baths, saunas, and soaking in hot tubs, and avoid smoking. Use of some vaginal lubricants may have an affect on sperm quality, as will the use of some prescription drugs.

Additionally, hereditary and hormonal disorders or hormonal problems such as diabetes, a thyroid condition, or prolactin problems, may also contribute to male factor infertility.

Most fertility procedures take several visits, a variety of physically exhausting tests, and you're on an emotional roller coaster, but I can offer this advice - be patient, open-minded and remain hopeful as best you can. Recognize the value of the support, knowledge and expertise of your physician and healthcare team. For me, these people made all the difference in the world.
